More than 1,500 customers in Brooklyn are without electricity as of 10:22 a.m. Sunday, according to the Con Edison outage map.
The outages are expected to be restored by 11 p.m. Sunday.
Con Edison says it reduced voltage in parts of the city to help protect the electric system during the heat wave and is asking customers to conserve electricity to help prevent additional outages.
