After being shut down for six months, the Clark Street Station in Brooklyn Heights is finally slated to reopen this month.

Many of the businesses inside the station have taken quite the hit due to its closing for an elevator replacement. Now, they're ready to welcome back customers.

Drip Coffee opened their Henry Street location last April. Just as they were picking up a regular clientele, the Clark Street subway closures became an unexpected bump in the road. The business they got from the morning and afternoon commute rushes dwindled down as train riders now have to use the High Street or Borough Hall stations instead.

Thankfully, Drip Coffee has other locations around the city. They said they stayed afloat and count on a few regular customers who live in the neighborhood and the construction workers who come in to work on the elevator repairs. Some of the other businesses inside the Clark Street Station have also remained open throughout the closures.

The MTA says the station is set to reopen this month, which will hopefully give businesses a boost as more commuters return.
