The opening of the first Chick-fil-A on Long Island is one step closer to happening.

The Brookhaven Town Board approved the zoning earlier this week.

The town will now have to green light the entire development.

The plan is to build the new Chick-fil-A along Route 347 in Port Jefferson Station.
