A teenager from Bronxville has died after being hurt in a soccer game.
Thomas Jakelich, a student at the Loyola school in New York City, collided with another player during a game Monday afternoon on Randall's Island.
The collision lacerated his liver. The 16-year-old experienced internal bleeding, and died later that night at Harlem Hospital.
The Medical Examiner's Office is still investigating the cause of Jakelich's death.
Jakelich no longer attended Bronxville schools - he left in September to attend a Catholic school in the city.
