A Bronx man who is accused of raping a 12-year-old girl allegedly sent her sexually explicit videos of himself on Snapchat before the attack, according to Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark.

Jose Ramos, 34, was indicted Tuesday and faces a slew of charges, including multiple counts of rape and disseminating indecent material to minors.

Prosecutors say Ramos allegedly started communicating with the victim on Snapchat in early April.

The 34-year-old came to the 12-year-old's apartment on West 174th Street on April 26 around 9:30 p.m. Her parents were not home.

Investigators say Ramos and the victim were watching TV in her bedroom when he allegedly sexually assaulted her. After the attack, they say Ramos started smoking marijuana.

The girl's parents arrived home and smelled marijuana coming from her bedroom. Ramos jumped out of the closet he was hiding in and the girl's father restrained him until police arrived, according to prosecutors.

Ramos faces additional charges including sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child.

He is due back in court on Aug. 11.
