A Brentwood youth sports organization recovering from alleged theft by its former president was victimized yet again.
Current Brentwood Youth Activities, Inc. President Inez Napier says someone climbed a balcony and kicked in a second-floor door over the weekend. The robber then stole a TV, computer, electronics and even change out of a concession stand register. The safe was also mangled.
"For someone to come here and take that from our children, it's very hurtful," Napier said.
Volunteers believe someone who is familiar with the BYA, which serves more than 400 children, is behind the crime.
Last year, the former BYA president was accused of stealing nearly $60,000 from the organization. It's been struggling ever since.
"They can come in here, break through and take whatever they want material-wise," Napier said. "But other than that, they will never be able to steal the spirit of Brentwood."
