Keep an eye on your yard decorations today and grab the jacket tomorrow. Overall, a nice weekend but record-breaking warmth returns next week.

It's a pleasant start to Saturday with temperatures in the 40s and 50s early this morning and quickly warming up into the mid 60s with a mix of sun and clouds. Windy conditions will return with sustained winds at 15-20 mph and gusts as high as 30 mph. When the wind calms down overnight, temperatures will quickly drop so grab the heavier jacket for overnight plans.
Sunday morning will be clear and chilly. Patchy frost is expected in our cooler neighborhoods with temperatures in the 30s there early. Despite abundant sunshine, afternoon temperatures will remain in the mid to upper 50s, so you'll need a light jacket. Monday is very similar and then warm weather returns. Temperatures will challenge records again with highs soaring into the mid and upper 70s by Halloween. A few spots could hit 80F on Thursday.
The drought continues to expand this week with little to no rain in sight. Some drizzle is possible this afternoon and the next chance will be Tuesday evening. Widespread rain is not expected for at least the next seven days.
