The plan to remove landline phones from a Medford assisted living complex has been delayed following complaints from residents.
A family member of a resident tells News 12 the landlines a Braemar Living at Medford will remain in place until at least December.
Residents say those who have dementia or physical disabilities would not be able to use cellphones or tablets that would be part of the facility’s technology upgrade.
Seniors who live in the community are hopeful that support from local elected officials could help keep landline phones at the facility permanently.
