Suffolk detectives arrested a Centereach middle school student Thursday for a violent threat he allegedly made online.

A threat of violence against Dawnwood Middle School students was posted on the popular Web site MySpace.com. The Web page stated that the author wrote a kill list and would "shoot up my school" on June 15.

Police arrested a 12-year-old male around 4 p.m. Wednesday after they were notified by school officials. The boy's identity was not disclosed because he is a minor.

The suspect was charged with juvenile delinquency and released to his mother. He is scheduled to appear in family court May 30.
