Bomb threats are continuing to be a nuisance to Long Island schools, with threat-related activity taking place in two districts this week.
Thursday's arrest of a Miller Place sophomore and a threat made Friday at West Babylon High School are the incidents in a string of bogus bomb threats across the Island.
Authorities found nothing at West Babylon High School. The school has been evacuated several times in the past few weeks due to bogus threats.
Police have been investigating about half a dozen bomb threats in the Miller Place School District from the past couple months. The sophomore arrested Thursday allegedly scrawled a threat on a desk that a bomb would be detonated at 9:00 a.m.
The student is being charged as a juvenile for falsely reporting an incident and is due in court later this month.
Miller Place senior Mike Talento says the constant threats are bothersome.
"It's ridiculous," he says. "I'm just more annoyed at this point ? I'm a senior here and I can't even go out for lunch or anything."
