Police say boaters were rescued and are recovering from hypothermia after being stranded out east. 
According to police, the three people were in a 20-foot boat when they got stuck on a sand bar last night off Robins Island.
Southold Town Police and the Cutchogue and Mattituck fire departments rushed to the scene.
According to police, two of the boaters, a 25-year-old from Riverhead and a 29-year-old from Mattituck were taken to the hospital with hypothermia.
A 33-year-old from Southold was OK.
