A Blue Point man has admitted to obstructing an investigation into a deadly construction accident in 2018.

Richard Zagger was a supervisor for Northridge Construction Corporation in East Patchogue.

Zagger was overseeing employees as they constructed a metal shed on the Northridge property.

According to officials, one of the workers fell from an improperly secured shed roof and died.

Zagger made false statements and conspired with others to make false statements to obstruct the investigation into the accident.

Zagger faces five years in prison when he is sentenced in October.
