Bellport community divided over grade-fixing claims
During an emotional meeting in Bellport last night, some parents called for former football coach and School Superintendent Joe Cipp, Jr. to step down over allegations of grade fixing.
Cipp is accused of pressuring teachers at Bellport High School to boost the grades of football star Ryan Sloan to get him a scholarship to Syracuse University.
Cipp has denied the charges. Meanwhile, the school board has launched an investigation into the accusations.
