A Bayport man is facing federal charges of possessing child pornography.
Authorities say Brandon Kern faced a federal judge Wednesday on five counts of sexual exploitation of minors and possession of child pornography.
Kern was first arrested in Ohio in 2021 where federal prosecutors say he attempted to have sex with a minor.
In New York, he is accused of posing as a teenage on Snapchat and eliciting sexually explicit photos from multiple children as young as 12.
Authorities say when teenagers attempted to stop talking to him, Kern threatened them with releasing the photos.
Investigators have released the list of Kern's usernames and are asking anyone who recognizes them or have any information to call them.
