The Nassau County Department of Health has issued a bathing advisory for 20 beaches in Nassau County.
The department says the advisory is a precautionary measure for beaches prone to stormwater runoff following heavy rainfall, which can elevate bacteria levels.
The advisory is set to be lifted at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 24 and applies to the following beaches:

Creek Club – Lattingtown
Crescent Beach – Glen Cove
Lattingtown Beach – Lattingtown
Laurel Hollow Beach – Laurel Hollow
Morgan Memorial Park Beach – Glen Cove
North Hempstead Beach Park – Port Washington
Piping Rock Beach Club – Locust Valley
Pryibil Beach – Glen Cove
Ransom Beach – Bayville
Theodore Roosevelt Beach – Oyster Bay
Sea Cliff Village Beach – Sea Cliff
Sea Cliff Yacht Club Beach – Sea Cliff
Soundside Beach – Bayville
Stehli Beach – Bayville
Tappen Beach – Glenwood Landing
Biltmore Beach Club – Massapequa
