Baldwin receives $10M state grant to improve downtown area

Baldwin is getting a $10 million grant as part of New York's Downtown Revitalization initiative. The money will be used to improve Grand Avenue and Downtown Baldwin.

Millions will be spent to spruce up a Nassau community, and it won't end up costing taxpayers a dime.
Baldwin is getting a $10 million grant as part of New York's Downtown Revitalization initiative. The money will be used to improve Grand Avenue and Downtown Baldwin.
Officials are hoping the renovations will bring in more business.
"The $10 million from the state will hopefully leverage over $100 million in private investments," says Kevin Law, with the Long Island Regional Economic Development Council.
Baldwin beat out dozens of other local communities to receive the state funding.
