? Police say a gunman fired at least 11 shots into a Wyandanch home Thursday night, seriously wounding a babysitter inside.
Tabetha Antonelli, 25, was in a bedroom of the Elk Street home when she was struck by bullets at around 11 p.m. She was hit six times in the arms and back. Police don?t know who the shooter was or why that individual opened fire from the street. The three children in the home were not hurt.
Police are also investigating two other shootings in the area that night. The first happened on Davidson Street around 7 p.m. and the second several hours later on New Avenue. There were no reported injuries in either shooting.
Police say Antonelli underwent surgery at Stony Brook University Medical Center to remove the bullets in her torso. Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
