A bomb threat at a Westport school Monday turned up no explosive devices and led to a two-hour delay for students.
Westport police and several neighboring police departments searched Coleytown Elementary School after Fairfield County Regional Dispatch Center received a 911 text message of a bomb threat at 7:45 a.m. The situation has been cleared.
Out of an abundance of caution, staff and students at the school were relocated to a neighboring school and school buses were diverted.
Coleytown Middle School was temporarily issued a shelter-in-place directive.
The Westport Police Detective Bureau says it is investigating the threat.
