Threat prompts evacuation of Massapequa High School

In a message to parents, the school district says police performed a search of the building and the lockout was lifted around 8:35 a.m.

Massapequa High School was evacuated early Monday morning due to a threat, according to police.

Officials say a call reporting the incident was made at 6:45 a.m.

Police say the threat was deemed non-credible and students are back in the building.

In a message to parents, the school district says police performed a search of the building and the lockout was lifted around 8:35 a.m.

School officials say Massapequa High School was on a 2-hour delay this morning and all other schools in the district are following their normal schedules.
