A Nassau County school district is coming under fire for its website’s transparency.
An audit from the state’s comptroller claims the Franklin Square Union Free School District did not post financial and administrative information on its website.
The audit says between July of 2024 and April of this year, the district failed to post its final annual budgets, its 2023-2024 tax record card and graduation rates or safety information.
In its response to the comptroller's office, the Franklin Square School District says it has implemented all required changes. Superintendent Dr. Jared Bloom went on to say he appreciates "the opportunity to further strengthen our communication practices."
