The family of a man who was fatally shot by his girlfriend’s ex-husband has filed a wrongful death civil suit in Suffolk County Supreme Court, according to their attorney.
Police say Pohlman and Kelly Coppola were fatally shot by Daniel Coppola in St. James.
Daniel Coppola is already facing two murder charges.
The Pohlman family says they are seeking damages for pain and suffering.
