Authorities removed more than a half-dozen dogs, many of which appeared to be pit bulls, from a Wyandanch home Thursday afternoon.
The dogs were removed from the backyard of the home on Birch Street and placed into an ASPCA van.
A man who News 12 saw walk out of the house yelled at the News 12 crew, questioning their news judgment and using some choice words to illustrate his point. The man then drove away.
A woman who lives in the house did not want to appear on camera, but she says the dogs belong to her son. She insisted that her son did nothing wrong.
"They were good dogs. I have grandkids. They played with the dogs," she says.
Neighbors tell News 12 that they never actually saw the dogs until Thursday.
The state Attorney General's Office told News 12 Long Island that a search warrant was carried out as part of an ongoing investigation.
