Another Bay Shore homeowner reached out to News 12 with video that a mail carrier has been mishandling, and in some cases intentionally damaging their deliveries.
One neighbor, who asked not to be named to protect their identity, says incidents involving the worker go back at least three years.
As News 12 reported Monday, homeowners say they have reported the carrier to the post office but continue seeing packages being thrown on the ground.
After seeing the story, the unidentified resident told News 12 they have videos and complaints that date back as far as December 2019. The neighbor says they contacted the United State Postal Service several times, but nothing has changed.
Dawn Vogelfang, of Bay Shore, however, says she has noticed the mail carrier being a little rough with packages sometimes, but that he has been friendly to her.
“He’s friendly,” Vogelfang says. “I have two dogs and they’re always crazy, jumping at the window barking, and he just smiles and waves.”
The USPS had told News 12 Monday that it is reviewing the incidents and videos to gather more details.
News 12 reached out again Tuesday after speaking with other neighbors and have not heard back.
