The American Airpower Museum in Farmingdale hosted an event Saturday honoring the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen and 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion.
The museum at Republic Airport featured presentations and screenings of a movie based on the Tuskegee Airmen.
The battalion, nicknamed "The Triple Nickles" was the U.S.'s first Black paratrooper battalion of World War II.
