Doctors are urging people to be aware of the possible signs of heat stroke as feels-like temperatures climb to near 100 degrees.
Symptoms of a heat stroke include:
-A throbbing headache
-Nausea and vomiting
-A rapid heart beat -- and you may lose consciousness
Doctors say if you feel any of these things or see someone having a heat stroke call 911.
To avoid heat exhaustion, doctors advise staying in cool air-conditioned places, drinking plenty of water and taking a cool shower or using cold compresses to help cool you down.
