A man is recovering from a head injury this morning after he was hit by a car last night that left the scene.

Police say the driver hit the 51-year-old man who was crossing Northern Boulevard in Roslyn at around 6 p.m. The victim was taken to the hospital with a head injury and his condition is unknown.

Police are looking for a blue late model Mercedes sedan that kept traveling eastbound on Northern Boulevard after hitting the victim. The car is believed to have damage to its front end and driver-side mirror.
