Nassau police announced Tuesday they?ve made arrests in February?s gang-related shooting at a Westbury nightclub that killed one and injured three.
Police say the four victims, who were between the ages of 17 and 21, were leaving Don Juan?s Restaurant on Old Country Road after attending a teen night there. They say the victims made it back to their car in the rear parking lot of the restaurant when they were ambushed by the alleged assailants, who fired gunshots into the vehicle.
After a five-month investigation, four men were arrested and a warrant was issued for a fifth in relation to the shooting. Dwayne Dailey, 22, of Hempstead, Gerson Turcios, 17, of Uniondale, and Noe Perdomo, 17, of Uniondale, are each charged with second-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder.
David Chicas, 17, of Hempstead is charged with hindering prosecution.
Seventeen-year-old Edwin Jovani Mejia-Alvarado, of Westbury, died as a result of his injuries that night. The three others are still recovering.
