More than 5,500 runners were in Northport Saturday for the 41st annual Great Cow Harbor Race.
The 6.2-mile race through Northport is considered one of the most challenging runs in the country.
Finishing times ranged from 29 minutes to 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Elaina Tabb, the winner of the female division of the race, says she's been training since July.
"I didn't know how close the second place girl was, but I knew she was decently close," said Tabb. "...It felt good to break the tape."
The overall winner was Donnie Cabral, of Connecticut. He finished with an impressive time of 29:29.
The event helps support the Special Olympics.
