Commuters faced a rough ride on the LIE this morning with at least four unrelated crashes.

A car caught fire on the Expressway in Dix Hills during the morning rush hour around 7 a.m. The westbound lanes were closed between exits 52 and 53.

The lanes have since reopened and no one was injured in the fire.

Meanwhile, a tractor-trailer flipped over around 3:50 a.m. on the ramp at exit 73 near the Tanger Outlets. There is no word on injuries.

Crashes also occurred at exit 39 and on Route 111 near Suffolk Avenue during this morning's commute.
