Three people were thrown from a car after a crash on the Long Island Expressway in Ronkonkoma early Sunday morning.
Police say one of the car's tires blew out just before 3 a.m. between exits 61 and 62.
They say the car hit a guard rail and overturned.
Five people were taken to the hospital and treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
