Three Jones Beach lifeguards were arrested for possession of marijuana yesterday.
Authorities say James Liegey , 41, Michael Eberhardt, 37, and Blaze C. Zellman, 24, were arrested for smoking pot in a parked vehicle in one of the parking lots.
State authorities say the lifeguards were off-duty when they were arrested.
Authorities say they've sent the marijuana to a crime lab to be weighed.
All three men have been charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
The three men were released on tickets to appear at First District Court.
