STORM HEADLINES

• More moderate to heavy rain now through Sunday night

  • Scattered instances of street flooding are likely through early Monday. Rain has returned and some of it will be heavy through Sunday night with a few thunderstorms possible. Please use extreme caution traveling due to the chance for flooding and other storm-related debris in on some streets.

• Not as windy, but more scattered power outages remain possible

  • The wind alerts from the National Weather Service have ended. Wind gusts will still be around 15 to 30 mph and that is enough, with a wet ground, already compromised trees and more rain on Sunday night, to cause some additional trees, branches and powerlines to come down through overnight.

• Less impactful evening high tide, but still minor coastal flooding

  • A coastal flood advisory is in effect until noon Monday for mostly minor additional coastal flooding during the next two high tide cycles. Water will still be in the streets in low-lying communities, but not as severe as earlier tides.

  • Check local tides and shoreline alerts.

SUNDAY EVENING

Sunday evening will be cloudy, with periods of moderate to heavy rain and the chance for a few scattered thunderstorms. It will also be breezy. Wind gusts will be around 15 to 30 mph and scattered additional power outages are likely, even though the wind is not as strong as earlier in the storm. Most temperatures will be in the lower to mid-60s.

SUNDAY NIGHT

Expect periods of moderate to heavy rain to continue, with isolated thunderstorms possible. Localized flooding cannot be ruled out, with an additional 1" to 2" of rain expected by Monday morning.

MONDAY

The wind will be lighter, from the north at 10 to 20 mph but overcast skies are expected with on and off showers through mid-afternoon. It will finally completely dry out for Monday evening. Highs are in the mid-60s.

REST OF THE WEEK

The weather improves with a mix of sun and clouds, light breezes and high temperatures in the 70s. Next weekend could be wet at times again, especially Sunday, but it's too early as of Sunday afternoon's forecast for any exact details just yet.
