A body was pulled from the water at the MADE Bush Terminal in Sunset Park on Saturday morning, according to police.
The NYPD says its Harbor Unit reported the incident around 11:30 a.m. near 43rd Street.
Officers removed the person, who police say is female, from the water.
Paramedics pronounced the person dead at the scene.
Police have not released the person's identity and say the city's medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
