A child is recovering after they were hit by a car in Freeport.

It happened while the 12-year-old rode a bike on North Main Street and East Seaman Avenue Wednesday night.

The child was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.

News 12 is told the crash does not appear to be criminal.
