An exciting victory for a talented group of girls from Suffolk County.

Islip’s little league softball senior division just won the state championship!

The team beat Warwick in two elimination games on Sunday.

The girls captured the title with scores of 2-1 in the first matchup and then 12-3 in the second.

They will now head to the New York State Senior Softball Eastern Regionals in Worcester, MA this weekend.

The Little League of the Islips and Coach Liz Raemdonck say they are so incredibly proud of the team.
