West Babylon convenience store employee arrested for drug possession

A search warrant was conducted at Infinite Convenience Store in response to community complaints, police say.

A Patchogue man has been arrested for possessing drugs at a convenience store in Suffolk County.

In response to community complaints, a search warrant was conducted at Infinite Convenience Store, located at 419A Great East Neck Road in West Babylon, police say.

Suffolk Police First Precinct Crime Unit officers, First Precinct Community Support Unit and Town of Babylon officials all responded to the business for the search.

Jerome Jones, 55, an employee of the store, was found in possession of a felony amount of crack/cocaine, as well as bags and scales associated with sales of narcotics, according to police.

Jones will face charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree when he is arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
