A man is accused of causing damage to vehicles and a cemetery in Suffolk County Tuesday evening.

Michael Laraque, 31, who is undomiciled, was first seen throwing rocks into the street at the edge of Huntington Rural Cemetery on New York Avenue, police say.

Three passing motor vehicles were hit with the rocks and a window was broken at nearby Laura’s Dance Studio.

When Suffolk police arrived on scene, they say Laraque ran into the cemetery, knocked over and desecrated a tombstone.

The man then started fighting with the two responding officers before being taken into custody.

He will face charges of cemetery desecration, menacing, criminal mischief and assault when he is arraigned at a later date.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
