Darien elementary student approached by suspicious stranger after school

The student told police that at approximately 3 p.m., they were walking home along Post Road and Lighthouse Way when they were approached by an individual in a whitish-grey minivan.

A Hindly Elementary School student was approached by a suspicious individual on Thursday, according to Darien police.

The student told police that at approximately 3 p.m., they were walking home along Post Road and Lighthouse Way when they were approached by an individual in a whitish-grey minivan.

The report states that the driver of the vehicle was described as a Hispanic male and asked the student to get in the minivan.

The student then ran from the car following the incident.

The Darien Police Department's Patrol and Detective Divisions are actively investigating this incident.
