Spotty heat and hot water - that's just one problem residents at a Peekskill apartment complex say they're dealing with.

On Tuesday night, they took their concerns to the city manager.

"There are a lot of concerns. Tenants are unhappy," said tenant Sabina Flagg.

News 12 first spoke to tenants at Park Place Towers in Peekskill back in January because they were having heat and hot water issues. Tenants say a temporary boiler is now on site, but they're still having problems.

"Our garage doors are constantly open, the whole month of September in 2025, wide open. Right now, we're going on a month, it's been open since March 12, and we only have one garage door," said tenant Amanda Ragusa.

Tenants brought these concerns to Peekskill City Manager Matthew Alexander who tells News 12 that the city has cited the property with violations.

"We want to be very clear with management that this is something that they have a responsibility to and they understand that," said city manager Alexander.

Residents say that the landlord gave them one month of free rent in the past, but they feel they're paying too much to be dealing with these issues.

"We're paying rent. So, we deserve to have a place to live and not have these issues be ongoing," said Flagg.

In a statement to News 12, BNS I, LLC (the building ownership) said:

"The temporary boiler is currently operating after required maintenance was performed, and the owner is committed to ensuring that it operates reliably while the permanent repairs to the building are completed.

Management will immediately secure the garage to ensure the safety of all residents."
