Deer Park woman arrested, accused of stabbing acquaintance in the face
Suffolk police say the stabbing occurred at 11:49 a.m. on Maida Avenue Tuesday between two individuals who know each other.

A Deer Park woman has been arrested after stabbing an acquaintance in the face during a dispute.
Suffolk police say Tianna Jones, 25, was involved in an altercation on Tuesday with a 43-year-old woman inside a home on 126 Maida Avenue. She then stabbed the victim in the face at 11:49 a.m., both women lived in separate residences in the home.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Jones was not injured and is currently charged with assault and will be arraigned at the First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday, according to police.
