Three people are without a home following a house fire Tuesday afternoon in Valley Stream.

The Valley Stream Fire Department responded to a two-story private home on South Waldinger Street near West Valley Stream Boulevard. Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 3 p.m. and arrived to find heavy fire conditions at the home.

Around 60 firefighters were on scene. Officials said the blaze was brought under control in about 30 minutes. No injuries were reported.

The extent of the structural damage is currently being evaluated by the Village of Valley Stream Building Department. Investigators from the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Nassau County Police Department Arson/Bomb Squad are on scene working to determine the cause of the fire.

Crews responded to two other house fires on Saturday - one in Seaford and the other in East Rockaway. It was not immediately clear how those fires started.
