Police search for man who stole a bicycle from front porch in Centereach

A barn caught fire near several popular East End businesses last night.

Firefighters responded to the area between Middle Road, Ackerly Pond Lane and Old North Road in Peconic just before 9 p.m.

The fire spread from the barn to a pair of sheds nearby.

Three fire departments responded, and no one was injured, according to officials.

The location is on the property around Cifarelli's Nursery and Treiber Farms.

Suffolk County police said the Arson Squad responded at the request of the Southold Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
