The family of a Mott Haven man is pushing for answers after their loved one was killed in broad daylight in September 2025.

Tyquise Bell, 27, was stabbed in the chest and killed on Sept. 11, 2025, on East 138th Street and Cypress Avenue.
Bell was expecting a child with his girlfriend.

His mother says someone in the community gave her a wanted poster from the NYPD for a man named Tahleik Harvin. She says she is now taking matters into her own hands, posting the flyers throughout the Mott Haven neighborhood where she raised her family, pleading with anyone who knows something to come forward.

"Justice is to get him off the street, for he won't hurt anyone else's child or anyone else," Bell said.

Bell had previously served three years in jail and was on parole at the time of his death. His family says he was working to turn his life around, leaving behind an 8-year-old and an unborn child.

Bell’s family says they won’t feel safe until an arrest is made, and they’re determined not to let this case go cold.
