Lucas Avni is an All-County and All-State swimmer.
He is Syosset's captain and recently helped the team break a Nassau County record with its 89th straight dual meet win.
Lucas has already qualified for this year's state meet in the 100-meter backstroke.
He also became one of the youngest Jones Beach lifeguards when he passed the qualification test at 16 years old. He's in the coding and web design club. He also teaches technology classes to senior citizens at the Gold Coast Library. He has a 94 unweighted GPA.
