For the fifth year in a row, the Port Jefferson Station family has set up its annual lemonade stand fundraiser with one goal in mind: making sure local students head back to school with the supplies they need to succeed.
It started as a simple neighborhood stand but has now grown into a community tradition that brings neighbors together while supporting children in the Middle Country Central School District.
The impact continues to grow each year.
During last year’s fundraiser, the siblings raised more than $2,200, helping provide 135 backpacks and thousands of school supplies for students in need.
This summer, they're once again selling lemonade, snacks, and handmade bracelets, while also collecting donated school supplies and backpacks.
With the support of generous community members, the Muccio family hopes to ensure that every child starts the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.
For the Muccio siblings, the lemonade stand is about much more than raising money — it’s about giving back.
Their effort is a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference when a community rallies together.
