Nassau police say a male pedestrian was struck by a truck on Sunrise Highway in Wantagh.
They say it happened just after 12:30 p.m. between the Sunrise Highway and Morris Gate.
The eastbound side of the highway was closed between Oakland Avenue and Morris Gate but has since reopened.
Police say the victim was conscious, and emergency crews were on scene.
