Officials: 2 businesses damaged by fire at Plainview strip mall

A fire that tore through a Plainview strip mall left two businesses damaged on Saturday night.

Fire officials received a call shortly before 7 p.m. reporting a smoke odor inside Francesco's Pizzeria on Central Park Road.

Crews found that the fire was located inside the Central Park Nail Salon next door.

Seventy-five firefighters from 10 departments responded to the scene and were able to control the blaze within an hour.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
