A Great Neck Plaza woman is facing child endangerment charges after an 8-year-old boy was found unattended inside a car in Westbury.
Nassau police say a witness called 911 around 6 p.m. Friday and reported seeing the child alone in the parking lot at 1240 Old Country Rd.
Officers arrived at the scene and observed the boy in the parked vehicle with the windows partially opened.
They entered the car and safely removed him. He was later placed in the custody of a family member.
Police determined that Ming Zhang, 46, was responsible for leaving the child unattended.
Following the investigation, they arrested her without incident. She is set to be arraigned Saturday at Nassau County Court in Mineola.
