Seaford home damaged in April fire partially collapses

A home that burned down last month in Seaford is now facing a bigger problem – high winds caused it to partially collapse on Saturday.
The Town of Hempstead says high winds blew over a portion of the home on Seamans Neck Road, near Jerusalem Avenue.
The home was vacant at the time and no injuries were reported.
Hempstead’s Building Department was on scene after the collapse to check the building. It was deemed stable.
The Seaford Fire Department responded to the same home on April 24 to a “heavily involved” fire.
The town says they are working with the homeowner to get them an emergency permit to demolish the building. They will issue the permit on Monday.
