Kalila is The Bronx's best-selling Girl Scout when it comes to selling Girl Scout cookies.
Kalila says she achieved this title by simply paying attention to the people who buy her cookies.
“Remembering their name, making sure to come back to see if they would like to buy again the same year," says Kalila.
Karen Lundgard, interim CEO of Girl Scouts of Greater New York, released a statement about Kalila’s achievement.
"Her dedication, drive, and leadership shine through in every box she sold. She represents the best of the Girl Scout spirit, and we're so proud of her accomplishments,” Lundgard wrote.
